when I was a child, my mother told me that they smile at angels; she knew that because only the innocent could see angels…
Maybe that’s why we often only get smiles from these guys (and no-one else) when walking through a big city. Where would we be without them?
Where indeed? With a smile they give us back our humanity; we become visible in the anonymity of a big city. A gift, really.
i love this language
So simply and efficiently said. “Ancient”. I want to believe this language is still around. We just need to learn to read it. If we open our hearts we can even hear it. Thanks for these beautiful words.
